An extraordinary experience at Iris Art Centre in the countryside of Greece that provided focus, direction, care, and inclusion to engage in exploration. An opportunity to dive deeper into the development of my art practice. 

As a disabled artist finding a residency that was accessible for my mobility needs and comforts proved a great challenge as I searched International residencies for two years. And then, Iris Art Centre appeared. After numourous communications with Annette to discuss needs and my desire to explore new medium and concepts.  I registered, prepared and then set off on what undoubetly was an epic journey. 

Was beyond all that I could of imagined! 

Annette Luycx has dedicated her life to art, art coaching and self-discovery through artistic expression. Her passion for art, combined with her Greek hospitality has led to her turning her large accessible villa and studio in Afidnes into the IRIS ART CENTRE, a place where she organizes summer art workshops and artist residencies.

Inspired to create and produce these designs for t-shirts which were worn as I wandered Greece.
